Hi, I’m Elissa! I’m a Photographer, Fire Wife, and Colorado Native.
I have always had an obsession with capturing moments and trying to hold on to memories. I constantly find myself taking countless pictures, saving ticket stubs, airline boarding passes, brochures, receipts, menus … anything tangible that will help me remember what I did, who I was with, and how it made me feel. I even kept pieces of grass from a Rockies game at Coors Field and taped it to my ticket stub! Photography gives me the ability to combine being creative with making a difference in people’s lives by capturing these moments of perfect happiness.
I graduated from Regis University in 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After working six years in public accounting, I decided that my work was no longer in sync with my desire to create. I took a leap of faith and quit my full time, financially stable career. With the support of my incredible husband, amazing family and friends, a few encouraging mentors, and through a lot of soul searching and a tremendous amount hard work, Elissa Woog Photography, was born.
My goal as a photographer is to discreetly capture every moment of perfect happiness. When I deliver your photos to you, I want you to be surprised. I want you to be excited and wonder, “How the heck did she get that shot?” My favorite moments aren’t posed. They are the uniquely special and emotional moments that you may not even realize are happening… a shared laugh, locked eyes with your special someone, a tear being wiped away.
My genuine care and compassion for others, motivates me to go above and beyond for those that come into my life. I have been so blessed to discover photography and would love the opportunity to help you create life long memories.
Fun Facts:
- I married my better half, Jeff, on June 29, 2013. This year we are celebrating 13 years together and 5 years of marriage! We were married at the SAME church where my parents said, "I Do," by the SAME Priest, 31 years later.
- A piece of my heart is in Derry, Ireland where much of my family lives.
- Kauai, Hawaii is my Paradise.
- I enjoy playing golf, making crafts, and doing yoga.
- I love white hydrangeas, the color teal, floral print, sending and receiving snail mail, red beers, chocolate covered strawberries, chili cheese fries, and sweet tea.
- I love, love! I am sentimental and emotional and am known to tear up when something tugs on my heartstrings.
